Our next stop on the map is Hamilton, NJ (Mercer County). Owners, Stu and Tess Axelrod (Lawrenceville, NJ), expect the new location to open in Spring of 2012. Tess, oringinally from Rochester, grew up on Abbott's and is excited to bring her hometown treat to Jersey.

Rochester has spoken! Abbott's Frozen Custard was named, for the tenth year in a row, as the best ice cream in town. We feel so honored to be chosen again this year. We love you too, Rochester!
Each year for more than a decade, the Galanis family and Alfred University have honored some of the most accomplished family businesses in New York State. This year, Abbott's Frozen Custard was chosen as one of the four annual winners selected for contributions to the region's economy. Furthermore, the winners were recognized for their dedication to community endeavors, which for Abbott's includes supporting the Golisano Children's Hospital, Wilmot Cancer Center, Mercy Flight Central, and the Monroe County Library Association.
